2019-06-17 Undara Lodge

Around 10 days since my last writing. By now I left Port Douglas behind me with a crying eye. I moved from Paradise! Really beautifull there, nice place to stay.

Last weekend at Saturday a visited the Habitat. It is a kind of zoo and home for lost animals. I had a close contact with an emu, he think I bring him food. A lot of bird, local marsupiams and two fat crocodiles are there to look at.

At sunday I was out to the outer reef with an local supplier for three comfortable, uninteresting dives. Only that the dive computer feels some water... At Wednesday Frank invited all students and the theachers for a barbie (BBQ) and we had a good evening. Sometimes in this weak a had also my best Thai massage until now, depp issue, yesss. And before that I become a haircut. Wellnesafternoon. So goes my time in Port Douglas to an end... I want say thankyou to all for this good time! Frank for the accomandation, the teacher for the patience and the VeloChörbli Gang for the nice time. Keep in touch and to all a good onward journey. I can imagine to come back sometimes.

At Saturday a set out to the tableland, the high plateau behind the coast. Passing herds of cows, plantages of fruit and neverending forests at endless roads. I visited vulcan lakes, waterfalsls and old jungle forests. Naturally I jumped into the waters. Overnight I stay in Yongaburra and had a Pizza at Nics Swiss and Italian Restaurant. I see some Platypus in Tarzali. My route is listed down.

Now I'm in the australian Savannah at the Undara Lodge and stay two nights here. The day starts with a hearty outdoor breakfast. Had today two guided tours during the lava tubes, really huge. Yet I am sitting here at the bar and write this words. Was für ein Leben. Tomorrow I go 400km to south to Charters Town und then to the coast to Ayr to dive there two days to the Wreck Yongala. At sunday I will fly to direction Fiji an other world. It isn't boring...

My route: Port Douglas - Barron Falls - Yongaburra - Lake Eacham - Lake Barrine - Curtain Fig Tree - Malanda Rainforest Walk - Tarzali Platypus Lake - Milla Milla Falls - Undara
Photos next.

That's it folks. Keep calm.  Roli
